I had recently watched the series, The Queens Gambit. On a hunch I contacted actor Brandi Nicole Wilson, whom I’d photographed for The Redhead Project in 2016: Would she be interested in doing a self-styled collaborative conceptual shoot with a similarly based 1950s/1960s premise, look and mood? Her answer was yes, and we bounced initial ideas back and forth for this partially improvised shoot. The Stepford Wives plot was her muse. A few weeks later we continued the collaborative 1950s/ 1960s inspired series, this time improvised storytelling in the garden.
